Mapping of NYC

Today for reading we got to make a DLO about where the Empire State Building is in NYC (New York City). What I did for my DLO was I got to look for Empire State Building on the map than I got to do five places that near Empire State Building that I would go to. What I really like about this DLO is that I get to be creative and I get to choose five places where I would go to.

Metaphor

On Thursday we got to make a DLO on what metaphor means. My favorite metaphor is "Her heart is gold". What I did for my DLO was do some examples and do what metaphor means. What I really like about this DLO is that I got to pick some examples to do and be creative with this.

our learning for today was make a DLO for reading. What we did was we got to make a DLO on a how to survive a cow attack?. What I really like about this DLO is that I got to be creative with this DLO.

Care Award - Pay it forward

Today I have made a DLO for my Care Awards. What I did for my care award is pay it forward. What I did for this was I got to make a DLO on how people an be positive. How I think people should be positive is that they shouldn't be saying negative words to other people. What I really like about this is that I got to make a DLO that might change peoples attitude.

5 main points - 1988

Today we got to have time finishing our work. The work I decide to finish first was my 5 main points for reading. What I did for the 5 main points is that I got to chose a year and write what I think the 5 main points is from that year. The year I have chosen was 1988 because I thought it would be interesting and I can also learn something from it.

5 main points - Hard Ice and Soft Ice

Our learning for reading for today was based on what is the 5 main points in the article called Hard Ice and Soft Ice. What we did was we find the five main points and write it down. The main point I really liked was my fifth main point and that was " Snow Flakes don't grow bigger than a thumbnail but some can grow bigger that your palm. What I really like about this was I got to write 5 main points about snow and hail.

Agent Of Change

For today's learning I got to make a DLO on how I can be an agent of change. The reason why we are doing a DLO about agent of change is because it is to help us set our goals we look for and how we could be agents of change in our own 2018 learning journey. What I really like about this is that I can set one of my goals and I can also achieve it. My favourite goal is to "Be confident in myself when I speak at assembly".

Place Value

Our learning yesterday was about how to use place value and also to make a DLO about place value and how to solve it. What Nickaela and I did was me and her mad a DLO how we solved a question using our placed value. What I really like about this was that we got to do place value again and we got to create a DLO as well.

Christmas Dinner Comparison

Today we got to make a DLO on what our family eats and compare it to a oversea country. The country I have chosen to compare with was Jamaica because they have yummy food for an example Coca bread and what I like about the food I eat for my culture is mash potatoes. What we got to do on this DLO was we got to find what our country eats on Christmas day and how much it cost so the food I have chosen was Dumplings , Porridge and Coca bread. Than I got to do the same thing but what my family has than I got to see how much each food cost and than I got to add it all up together.

Manatees

Today we got to make a DLO on a animal that stars with the first letter of are name and I have picked Manatees. What I like about manatees is that they kind of look like seals. What I really enjoyed about making this DLO is that I got to learn about a animal that I have not heard of before.

Firework Safety

Today I have been working on a DLO for how to keep safe around fireworks. What I have done was I have find information and facts about keeping safe when you are near fireworks. The fact I really like about my DLO is to keep your pets inside at all times.

How children learn at school?

Why is it important to talk in class? The reason why we talk in class is so we can take risks and try new things.

It is important to listen in class so you know what you're learning about. And we can also explore new things so that we know what is the right thing and what is the wrong thing to do.

It is important for the juniors to follow there role model in school. So that we can learn from each other and we can give feedback to the juniors if they want feedback.

If you don't understand anything you should ask a question to your friend or a teacher. The reason why it is good to ask questions is so people can know what you think and so you can learn from other people.

The reason why we should learn at school is so we can learn new skills and use are ability to think.

Today we got to finished of our explanation about How children learn at school?. The person who I have been working with is Sakae and Sakae and I have done a list of words we should do in are explanation and we have tried to look for simple but powerful words e.g ability or skills. What I have enjoyed about doing this was I got to write what I think about How children learn at school?

PBS Blogging Holiday program Activity 2 - Day 2

Today I have been working on a DLO for the holiday blogging program. What this DLO is about is that I got to create my own mascot of the sky tower. What I really loved about this activity is that I got to create my own mascot and I got to have fun.

My focus for today was that I got to make a DLO about the sky tower. This DLO was for my activity 1 for day 2. What this DLO is about is that I got the put 5 facts about the sky tower. What I have really enjoyed about doing this activity and making this DLO is that I got to learn more about the sky tower.

Holiday Blogging Program - Activity 2 Day 1

For this activity we got to pick the minimum height for the Stratosphere. The height of this ride is 150cm when it is very extreme but if it is less extreme than the height would be 130cm. What I have liked about doing this activity is that I got to find out when height you need to be for the Stratosphere.

Activity 1 - Rainbow's End

Today I have been doing a holiday blogging challenge and it is based on rainbow's end. This was my first activity for the first day and I really enjoyed doing this fun activity. This was really fun because I got to make a DLO about rainbow's end and got to learn more about it as well.

Kahoot

Last week on Friday my whole class went in different groups and make a kahoot.  The kahoot was about elections and we got to make a quiz for my class to do. What I have liked about this activity is that I got to learn more about election and have fun. 

Production

Today I have been working on a DLO about what we done last night. What I have done l was put pictures of our performance my class has done. I got to do two dances one for pacific and one to a song called footloose. What I have really enjoyed about the production is I got to watch other dances and I got to dance for two dances and have a lot of fun.

Democracy

Last week I have been working on my groups DLO about democracy. This DLO will tell you guys some information about democracy. What I have really enjoyed about doing this activity is that I got to learn more about democracy.

Advertising

Yesterday on Wednesday I have decided to do my advertising DLO. This DLO is about Reese's Puffs and it is a type of a cookie. What I have really enjoyed about doing this fun activity is that I got to learn who was the mascot for this brad and the slogan.
