Tech Relflection

Today we went down to Tamaki Collage and split into our three groups. The three groups that we got into was Food Tech, Pewter casting tech and digital tech. What we did in Pewter casting was we got to draw an object for someone that is close to us. Next we draw it on a piece of block and than cut it. What I chose for my design is boxing glove for my brother.

HIIT

Today in the morning block we got to do HIIT. What we did for HIIT was we did some squats , push ups and pull ups. The person I have worked with is Joel. How we did the exercises is we got a pattern and than went around to do different station in are groups.

Making Connections


Today we got to make a DLO on making connections. What we did was we got to read a book called The Ready Steady Snack and write in each box how we feel , What we read that like this and something I know that is like this. What I really like about this was I got to read an interesting book and I also got to write bits about it. The part I really like about making connections is that I got to write how I felt about this book.

Unicycle Tricks


This week for reading we have been looking at people doing amazing tricks on a unicycle. What we did was we got to watch some videos of people doing dangerous tricks on a unicycle. Before we started doing this activity we completed a key evaluation about unicycles that were used back in the days. A key evalation is a type of task that needs to be completed with answers using some parts of the question and the text.

HIIT


On every Thursday and Monday we do HIIT. What we for HIIT is we do different exercise. The exercise we are learning is spilt squat, spilt squats jump, spilt squat pulse and star jumps. The exercise I find really challenging is spilt squat pulse and the one I find really easy is spilt squat. What I really like about HIIT is that is challenges us and they give us hard exercise.

Tech Reflection

This year we have been going to Tamaki College to do tech. The groups we have just started in our Digital Tech, Pewter Casting and Food tech. What my group is doing is we are doing pewter casting. What my group is doing in pewter casting is we are choosing one item out of 16  to create for our selves or a friend or a family member. What I am making is boxing gloves for my older brother. The reason why I choose boxing gloves for brother is because he is almost having a fight and I want to give him something to wish him good luck. The material we are using  for pewter casting is pewter. What I really like about tech is that we are starting to make something that might mean something special for who ever we our creating it for.

Kiwi Can


Today in the morning Group A went to kiwi can. The people who were teaching were Mrs Lilly and Mr Matt. The theme was about accountable and the topic was on integrity, What we did was we played two games two truth one lie and copy me. How you play two truth one lie is you need to the one lie and try and see if the other people can guess it. How you play copy me while you are using the card is when you get a  card that has 1 - 10 you have to copy me is  what ever the number you take from one of the Kiwi Can teachers you and your group has to copy what ever is on the board. E.g number 6 was you had to do a fortnite dance. What uncountable mean is to show ownership and not lie and blame other people. Where I see accountability at my school is when people come to school on time or when they bring there PE to school. What value means is when something is worth to you. What we also learnt in Kiwi Can is we got to explore how we can be honest and show integrity. 

Facts about geese

Today I decided to finish my DLO about geese. What I did on this DLO  is that I added facts and pictures of geese. Next I chose to put a photo of a geese that is label. What I really like about my DLO is that I got to learn about geese.

Read Theory

Today I got to do Read Theory. What I did was try and get myself to level four.  As you can see I have been trying to reach level four but I have been stuck on Level three. How you do Read Theory is that you can read different article and trey and get a perfect score or a passing score. What I really like about Read Theory is that I get to read different article and learn more about different countries.

Kiwi Sports

Today we got to do Kiwi sports. What are lesson was about was how to turn and how to step. The game we played was a short game of Rippa. What we did was get into two teams that were Green and Blue and than we got to play a number game by using those skills. What I really like about Kiwi Sports is that we got to learn more skills about Rippa Rugby.

Kiwi Can

Today we got to go Kiwi Can. What we did for are topic for Kiwi Can was we learned about integrity and are lesson was about Positive Role models.Than we played two games. The games we played was a ball game and a action game. What we did for the action game is that we were put in four teams and in those four teams we had to send one person to our Kiwi Can teacher and get a person to act out in front of our team. What the ball game was that we got to try and hit the ball out with one hand so it won't go between are legs.What I really like about Kiwi Can is that we got to work as a team when we played the Action game.

Tech Reflection

Today we went down to Tamaki College. We went down in our sprat groups. Those groups are Digital Tech, Pewter Casting Tech and Food Tech. My group were in pewter Casting. What my group did was we got to create a Google Doc and put images in four boxes for four people and it got to be what we think that they would like and we got to create four column to be with the four boxes. What I really like about Pewter Casting is we get to make our own design of our chose and also give it to a person we think that we would like to give them. A design I chose was a boxing glove

Today I was doing my Care Award and was trying to achieve my attitude badge. What I did for my care award for attitude was tutor Joel. What I helped her with was her maths. The strategy I was teaching her to do was her place value. What I like about this care award is that I got  to help someone else.

Reflex Experiment



Our learning today for inquiry was about reflex. What we did was create a graph about how fast we could catch it. We had three tests. The first test was the vision test, the second test was the hearing test and the last test was the tactile test. What we use to do these tests was we used a ruler. The people in my group were Nyjah, Fraidon and Jeremiah K. The test that my group were best at test 3. What I really like about this graph is that it show how fast we can use our reflex. 

How Does WiFi Work

How Does WIFI Work

WiFi contains many things. It can contains codes, light and call waves but you can’t see the light because WiFi is a type of light. Now let’s go on the journey and learn about WiFi.

Light can be used for many things but things can be as the same as light. People can be wondering where is the light for WiFi. Well WiFi is a type of light and how it is a type of light is because the light comes from the call waves and connects it with the WiFi.

People sometimes wonder what are digital waves for? Or How can we use call waves?. Well digital waves are not waves they are actually binary codes being sent to your device.

How do codes work?. Well people think that codes are only for people who hack but they our false. So now we must find out how codes can work for peoples WiFi. How codes work is they are connected to a cable than connected to the radio waves than the codes go into your WiFi and that’s when the WiFi becomes the light.

See WiFi can contain many things. It doesn't just let you go on YouTube or Facebook. It can contain much more. Now it is the end of learning extra information about WiFi.
The subject that we have been working on is writing. What I did for writing is I got to write a explanation about the internet in other words WIFI. What we did was we got to explain what WIFI is all about. What an explanation is that it explains what the title is about and it gives you heaps of detail. What I really like about my explanation is that I got to write a explanation on how WIFI works and that it is not just something you go on to watch YouTube or play games.
