Kiwi Can

Today we had kiwi can. We got to split into a groups group A or group B. We got to play three games. What I have enjoyed about kiwi ca is that we got to have fun. The three games we have played was hand soccer, Objects and ten down.

Kahoot

Last week on Friday my whole class went in different groups and make a kahoot.  The kahoot was about elections and we got to make a quiz for my class to do. What I have liked about this activity is that I got to learn more about election and have fun. 

Production

Today I have been working on a DLO about what we done last night. What I have done l was put pictures of our performance my class has done. I got to do two dances one for pacific and one to a song called footloose. What I have really enjoyed about the production is I got to watch other dances and I got to dance for two dances and have a lot of fun.

Democracy

Last week I have been working on my groups DLO about democracy. This DLO will tell you guys some information about democracy. What I have really enjoyed about doing this activity is that I got to learn more about democracy.

Advertising

Yesterday on Wednesday I have decided to do my advertising DLO. This DLO is about Reese's Puffs and it is a type of a cookie. What I have really enjoyed about doing this fun activity is that I got to learn who was the mascot for this brad and the slogan.

Cross Country

Last week on thursday we got to do cross country across the road from our school. What we got to do is we got to run in our year groups from year 1 to year 8. What year group I got to run in was with the year 7 and year 8. The place for cross country was 1st 2nd or 3rd to go and play for inter school. What I really enjoy about cross country is that we got to have fun and we got to cheer on little kids and older ones as well.

Scale Drawing

Today we got to finished our scale drawing. What I have done was I draw a cute hamster. What I got to do was draw the grid across and up and down and than draw the cute hamster on the paper and than color it in and than I made my label.  What I have find hard about scale drawing is the hamster hair and the bit I have find easy is drawing the face and coloring.

Princess Bride - Shot Types

Today my whole class got to finished of our DLO form the movie called princess bride. What I decide to pick was shot types. I got to pick out of long shot,Close up shot,Medium shot,high angle,low angle,eye level,reverse shot,zoom,panning,tilting and tracking and I have decide to pick long shot. What I have really enjoyed about this activity is that I got to make a DLO on shot types from the movie called Princess Bride.

Election

Our focus for this morning was we got to make a DLO on election. What My group has done was we all worked together on different slides and answer some question that has to do with election. The people I have been working with our Jorja,Jay don and Nickeala. What I enjoyed about this DLO is that my group and I have been working together and been finding out more about elections.

Election - Prime Minister

 

Our focus for today was we got to do a fun task and it was to search up a prime minister and my group decide to go with a women by the name of jenny shipley. What I have really liked about this activity is that we got to learn more about this prime minister and why she wants to become a prime minster.

Elections - Padlet

Our focus for today was to complete task one. What we got to do for task one was to make a padlet that explains and answer these three question and they our what is an election,why we have an election and what happens during an election. What I have find interesting about this task was that we got to know and learn more about elections and how it works.

Read An E-book day

Today in the afternoon my whole class has went on read an e - book  and  #EBOOKLOVE. What we got to choose from was young adult collection, Science fiction, overdrive staff libraries fall picks, comics or romance. What I have chosen out of all these different types of books collection was young adult collection and the book I have chosen is The hate you give me and it is about how some people don't want to go to some of the party's and one of them our Big D's spring party. This was apart of the tamaki college overdrive and this came out on September the 18. What I really liked about exploring read an e-book day was that I got to read a book about how you can stand up for yourself and not let anyone put you down. If you want to read this book you can search up the tittle called The hate you give by Angie Thomas but I prefer 12 or 11 and up should read this book. 

Say it tika

Our focus for today in the afternoon is to go on this site called say it tika and it is sponsor by google maps and Vodafone. This activity is for Maori language week so we are doing this fun activity. What I have enjoyed about this activity is that I got to learn a new Maori word and try and say it correctly. 

Care Award - PHN

 

Today I have been doing my care award for attitude. This DLO is all about what does Phn stand for and why we have them. What PHN stands for is Public Health Nurse and why we have them.  What I have liked about this care award is that I got to learn more about a Phn. The reason why I made this DLO is because so people can know why it is important to have a PHN.

Care Award - Soccer Interschool

Today I have been doing my care award for attitude. This was my first time ever playing soccer. What I did for soccer was my team had to work together to show good sportsmanship and teamwork. What I have  enjoyed about this care award is that I got to work with people I haven't even worked with before. 

Care Award - Transum

Today I have been doing my care award on excellent and innovation for my badge. What this task was is you have to complete transum for time tables from day 1 to day 6. I really like the care award because I had to try and beat my score and make it go lower and lower.

Care Award - Novels

Today I have done a DLO for my care award. This is for my excellent and innovation badge and it is three novels I have read. What I have done is made a summary about the three novels. My favorite novel and thing about this care award is BFG and how I got to show what types novels I like.

Care Award - Maria Tutaia

My focus for today is to complete all my care awards for my excellent and innovation badge. What I have done is I have been making a DLO on a person who has shown excellent and innovation. What I have enjoyed about this care award is that I get to make a DLO on a person that has shown excellent and innovation.

Today I have been doing my care award. This care award is for my Excellent and invitation and it is for netball players or for any one else and it is also about believing in your self. What  I really like about this care award is that it makes me believe in my self even more.

Personal Passion -Care Award

Today I have been working on my care award. This is all about my personal passion and it is boxing because my dad loves boxing. This is for my Excellent and invitation badge. I have really enjoyed doing this care award because it shows on my DLO about my personal passion.

Care Award and Netball Certificates

Today before lunch time I got two certifics and they where both for netball. I also got a badge that was for my care award and it is respect. I am rally happy to get this and also get the player of the day.

Netball Team

Today after assembly my whole netball team took a photo of us and our certificate and our badge. The reason why we have this is because we got 2nd place for the yr 8 at AMI.

Art Tech

Today in the morning we went down to tamaki college. We had go split up into our new groups art,food tech and wood work. I went to art tech and got to draw a picture that is a part of my culture and I decided to go with a simple and nice flower. What I have really enjoyed about art tech is that we got to draw what we wanted and how it is apart of our own culture.

Black Beauty

Our focus for this afternoon is to go and look at some on Tamaki over drive and look for one book to read. What I have chosen is a book called black beauty. What the book is about is about when the horse was old enough he would always eat grass.  What I like about this book is that it's an interesting book and it tells you heaps of information in the start of the book.What you could choose form are fiction,non fiction, science fiction, fantasy,mystery,romance,drama,humor,suspense and classic literature and I have chosen classic literature.

Kiwi Can - Taking Risks

Today we got to have a kiwi can session this morning. What our main focus was on about how people take risks and explain how people can make a risk when we are playing hand soccer. And we even got to play a game of bip bop bounce and it is when you have to say bang before the person says bounce. The people who where teaching us for kiwi can was Mrs Lotoia and Mr Malu. What we had to do in hand soccer was we had to join the game with our team and collaborate and use team work and Team spirit. What I have really enjoyed was how I got to learn how to play soccer with my hand.  

Two word sentences

Our focus for today was to do this challenge for writing and it was all about two word sentences. What we did was we got to pick a Two word sentence from a list one of them was I'm sorry so I had decide to choose it. What I liked about this challenge is that we got to put the two word sentence and put it into a compound,complex and simple sentence.

Read Theory

Our focus for this morning was we had to do read theory or steps. I decide to do read theory to practise my comprehension. What I have been learning about is an animal called Capybara. The thing I have learned about Capybara are that they are a size of a dog but much bigger. The thing I have really enjoyed is that I got to learn more about animals that I haven't been seen before or even heard of. 

Tech - Art

Today we went down to tech at Tamaki College. What we did was we got to do art with our teacher called Mr Slagg. What we had to really focus on is to draw something that is part of your culture so I did a flower for Samoa. What I really like about this is when we got to shade in shapes from light to dark.
